Summer Vibes III
Opera Gallery Madrid is delighted to present the third edition of 'Summer Vibes'. This annual summer exhibition brings together a curated selection of modern and contemporary works by leading and emerging artists across painting, sculpture, and photography.
This year’s edition features iconic works by Pedro Almodóvar, Niki de Saint Phalle, Luis Gordillo, and marks the gallery debut of Juan Navarro Baldeweg, whose work will be exhibited concurrently at CentroCentro, Madrid in the institutional solo show 'Hacer y Azar' (12 June – 2 November 2025). Baldeweg’s work explores the interplay between light and space, offering a contemplative counterpoint to the energy of the summer season.
Highlights also include Almodóvar’s evocative flower photography—shown ahead of his upcoming solo exhibition 'Vida detenida' at the Verona Photography Festival (20 September – 21 October)—and de Saint Phalle’s shimmering tribute to the legendary orca Shamu, rendered in iridescent pink and gold.
Participating artists include Pedro Almodóvar, Karel Appel, Ron Arad, Cristina Babiloni, Georg Baselitz, Fernando Botero, Lita Cabellut, Rafael Canogar, Marc Chagall, Niki de Saint Phalle, Thomas Dillon, Sam Francis, Juan Genovés, Luis Gordillo, Alex Katz, Yayoi Kusama, Joan Miró, George Morton-Clark, Adrián Navarro, Juan Navarro Baldeweg, Gustavo Nazareno, Pieter Obels, Julian Opie, Daniella Portillo, Anselm Reyle, Julien Rubat, Miguel Sainz Ojeda, Kenny Scharf, Antoni Tàpies, and Manolo Valdés.
'Summer Vibes III' invites visitors into a dynamic dialogue between form and feeling, bringing together works that are bold, contemplative, and emotionally resonant—offering a fresh take on the vitality of summer through the lens of contemporary art.
