The Monaco Masters Show : Chagall & Léger, la couleur et la forme
Under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, Opera Gallery is pleased to present 'The Monaco Masters Show : Chagall & Léger, la couleur et la forme', from July 4 to August 31, 2025.
This exhibition brings together a wide range of 20th and 21st century artists around two major figures: Marc Chagall and Fernand Léger, both of whom settled on the Côte d'Azur at the end of their lives. With 2025 marking the 40th anniversary of Chagall’s death and 70th anniversary of Léger’s death, this exhibition celebrates their contribution to our understanding of form, colour and the role of representation in art. Pioneers of opposing styles, they left their mark on our vision of Modernism.
On the occasion of 'The Monaco Masters Show', Chagall and Léger are presented alongside such international greats artists as Monet, Picasso, Calder, Dubuffet, Soulages, Lichtenstein, Katz, Warhol, Kusama, Saint Phalle, Wesselmann, Botero, Valdés, Condo, Haring, Basquiat and Hirst. Each, in their own way, continues the legacy of Modernism.
