Carine Karam Appointed as Director of Opera New York

Opera Gallery appoints Carine Karam as Director of its New York gallery.

In this role, Carine will oversee Opera Gallery’s New York operations, working closely with the gallery’s global network of artists, collectors, and colleagues to strengthen its presence and programme in the United States.

Carine brings extensive experience across the global art market, spanning contemporary art, collectible design, and digital innovation. She previously served as Global Vice President of Sales at Artsy in New York, where she led global revenue and spearheaded the platform’s international expansion, including across key Asian markets. She later joined Carpenters Workshop Gallery as Managing Director for the Americas, overseeing the New York and Los Angeles galleries and leading the gallery’s LATAM growth strategy. Prior to joining Opera Gallery, she was Sales Director at Unit London, where she oversaw the sales team and supported the gallery’s commercial development across the UK and Asia.

Carine joins Opera Gallery with a global perspective and a nuanced understanding of today’s evolving art market and collector landscape.
