Pablo Picasso
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Singapore’s independence, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali unexpectedly come together in the island’s Opera Gallery, to form a new exhibition of carefully selected masterpieces, from 18th September to the 18th of October.
The exhibition proposes a dialogue between two of the most important figures in the history of art, which have often been treated as mythical, isolated figures. “Pablo Picasso & Salvador Dali” show, features famous 20th-century art pieces, encompassing drawings, paintings and sculptures of both artists. In addition to this indoor show hosted in the Opera Gallery space at ION Orchard, the Gallery presents a must-visit outdoor exhibition of Dali’s imposing monumental sculptures. Works that orchard road visitors will have the opportunity to admire include “Triumphant Elephant”, “Space Venus” and “Profile of Time”.
