Chapter 10
Opera Gallery Beirut is proud to celebrate its 10th anniversary with 'Chapter 10', a vibrant exhibition marking a decade of art, community, and endurance. Since opening its doors beside the Roman Baths in the heart of Beirut, they have remained committed to sharing powerful, inspiring art with this extraordinary city. Over the past ten years—through economic challenges, political uncertainty, and the tragedy of the August 4 explosion—they have held fast to our belief in art as a source of hope and connection.
To mark this important milestone, 'Chapter 10' brings together four distinctive contemporary artists whose practices reflect the spirit of creativity, resilience, and reinvention. Adrián Navarro, based in Madrid, merges architecture and abstraction to explore spatial tension and visual perception. American artist Thomas Dillon, working from Philadelphia, uses ritual and automatism to produce raw, emotionally charged compositions that often feature haunting, eye-filled forms. Miguel Sainz Ojeda, a rising talent from Madrid, blurs the line between figuration and abstraction, conjuring fantastical and dreamlike scenes filled with memory and mystery. Korean artist Seungjin Yang transforms the fragile symbolism of balloons into sturdy, large-scale sculptural furniture, drawing on his background in metal art and design.
More than a retrospective, 'Chapter 10' is a celebration of everything that has shaped Opera Gallery Beirut over the past decade—and a tribute to the artists, collectors, and community who continue to shape its future.
