Opera Gallery Madrid is looking for an Art Advisor with a proven track record in sales to join its team to work on weekends.
The Sales Advisor will report directly to the Director of Opera Gallery Madrid.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Promptly and warmly welcome guests to the gallery.
Ø Provide premium customer service, product knowledge and expertise to customers.
Ø Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, generate proposal for them -under’s Director supervision-.
Ø Assist with gallery daily operation, gallery exhibitions, openings, managing the artworks and the gallery display.
Ø Work with the registrar team to coordinate shipping and installation schedules for works.
Qualifications for this role:
Ø BA degree, Art History or related degree.
Ø 2+ years of experience in a similar role at a contemporary art gallery or auction house.
Ø Written and spoken proficiency of Spanish and English; French and Chinese, a plus.
Ø Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Ø An excellent working knowledge of a wide range of twentieth century and contemporary art and artists.
Ø Proficient with PCs, Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word, as well as Adobe Photoshop.

Ø Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to manage a heavy workload, with a keen eye for detail.
Ø Enthusiastic and collaborative team player.
Ø Experience of working with collections and acquisitions.
Ø In touch with international trends in the art world.
Ø A flexible schedule.
