November 23 - December 9, 2012

This month Opera Gallery presents an enchanting and ethereal display of painted and sculpted artworks by Jean Pierre Roc-Roussey & Nicola Rosini di Santi.

Born in Paris, Roc-Roussey is uncompromisingly immersive in his artistic pursuits and as a result, his style is ever more distinctive and unmatched. His figures’ expressive qualities are consistently sensitive, undulating surfaces abound with fullness of colour, texture and depth. Roc-Roussey’s larger-than-life mythological figures mesmerize his viewers and captures imaginations in an instant. To linger a moment too long before Roc-Roussey’s canvas is all it takes to steal the art critic and art lovers heart.

Italian-born Rosini di Santi, is a masterful manipulator of bronze and glass. He fashions simple yet graceful works, which are surreal and charismatic, raw and polished all in one glance. His stilted figures glide effortlessly through their surroundings or perch, fishing in a pond of glass to the depths below. Rosini di Santi’s furnishings crafted from metal and glass demonstrate his ability to construct fluid designs; each rippling as if made from water, ensnaring the viewer’s attention and engaging their imagination. His rustic bronze style is beautiful and endearing, making Rosini di Santi a collector’s dream.

Thoroughly beautiful, this exhibition at Opera Gallery this November will undoubtedly serve as the highlight of the visual arts calendar.
