Opera Gallery Zurich\'s curatorial agenda is based on two-person exhibitions, coupling contemporary artists working with kindred subjects: those of spatiality, forms and different possibilities of surface patterns.

Alfred Haberpointner and Jahanguir are two artists that work well together – their approach to structure, space and texture may be different, but for both it is emphasized with a clear geometrical insight.

With Haberpointner, texture becomes the centerfold - the wood is being explored, pushed in, pushed out, burned, cut, and chiseled, as a matter with endless possibilities. Evocative of its constructivist roots, Jahanguir\'s work is Concrete Art, in close connection with architecture and engineering. Geometrical form, symmetries and precise calculations are the basis of his working process. Space is understood as a mathematical playground, with hidden symbolical meaning.
