ZHANG Dali
Zhang Dali was born in Harbin, China in 1963. In 1987, he was graduated from Chinese National Academy of Fine Arts and Design.
Zhang Dali’s painting is the individual portrait of the Chinese migrant workers who are the symbols of many characteristics of the new urbanizing Chinese society.
AK-47, is a type of Russian machine gun and a tool of aggression, a sign of violence. Artist uses the same symbol to build up each portrait, also in order to not forget that the migrant workers are still living in this society with their life’s style.
