Ciliana Villegas’ sculptures combine the fleshless, purified body with extreme tension. Feminine gestures that seem so familiar, often express a deeply rich and complex sensuality.
Ciliana Villegas was born in Columbia in 1962.
• 1983 - 1988 Obtained 1st degree at the Institute of Beaux Arts of
Pereira, Colombia
• 1984 Personal exhibition at Galleria Arte, Bogota, Colombia
• 1985 Joint exhibition with two other artists at Galleria Arte,
Bogota
• 1985 - 1986 Solo exhibition at Moderum Gallery, Venezuela
