KID ZOOM
Originally from Perth, Australia, Kid Zoom has fast become one of the big names emerging from the Australian street-art/graffiti scene. While still comparatively young to many of his contemporaries, he is widely considered a technical master with aerosol. Combining precise technical ability with tongue in cheek subversion of pop iconography, his iconography, his work is not only attention grabbing but also innovative in its use of medium. Kid Zoom began making street art at the age of 16. Starting out as a graffiti artist, he moved from walls to bus-posters to billboards and galleries.
Now living and working in Sydney, Kid Zoom continues to blur the line between art and vandalism. With his aggressive and often confronting gallery installations, stylized photo-realistic aerosol work and street installations, his work continues to challenge popular understanding of graffiti and its current evolution.
