JENKELL LAURENCE
The heterogeneous style of JENKELL, whose compositions are in perpetual movement are the result of a creative overflow that is in the image of our present societies patterns of consumption. Her work is influenced by the actual tendencies in fashion and design magnified by the artists’ hands and the rhythm of time.
Attracted by the large range of candies, not only the shape itself but also transformations and combinations available, JENKELL declines the substance’s metamorphosis on canvas. She aslo breaks the idea of the material by sculpturing huge candies. She sublimates the candie with an ancestral aluminium sand founding that gives a dynamic dimension to her work
JENKELLs' research is inscribed in an array of creative flavors, tangy colors, textures and fragrances. We can suppose that visual contact with her individual works of art will awaken the feelings of sweet childlike memories and attract our senses as bees are attracted to honey.
The vibrations we receive from her work are notes and lyrics of joy, laughter and pure positive energy.
