GUETARY Helene
Helene Guétary was born in 1957.
After a short training at the beaux arts and a first exhibition of drawings in France, she deciced to leave France and live in New York for 12 years.
THen she continues to exhibit her work in New york :

In New york she developps her own creativity and fantastic world, » her living work » in collaboration with Patrice Casanova will be published in 1983.
In 1982 she also realized a serie of sculptures as an order for the museum Pompidou in Paris.
Then, her meeting with genius Federico Fellini gave her a lot of inspiration and maturation for her work.
She began to write and works through the image, like for the making of a film.
The fondation polaroid became a sponsor and gave her an opportunity to develop her imagenings through giants polaroids, video, drawings, writings.
She has some works shown in the Victoria Albert Musuem collection, Maison européene de la photographie Paris, Collection Asher Edelmann suisse.
In 1992 she participated to the fondation of ARTE,german -french cultural tv channel (tv short films) and was awarded several prices :
GRIMME price Innovation price
SCAM price for the creation
PTOMAX price 2000.
In 1999, she starts to write and publish several essays and novels, which contribute to the exporation of her universe, weird ,poetical and even surreal.
