BLANC-FONTENILLE Benedicte
Benedicte Blanc-Fontenille
Born 1961 near Paris, France
Her works are a reflection on human existence. “We are all passing through life, everything is mineral and going back to mineral, like a spiral this fragility of life gives us energy to continue”, she comments.
With this sensitive proposal we find in her canvases a momentary mosaic of nature and time. Her paintings have transparencies; they are worked in layers, a mixed media of pigments, acrylic paint, sometimes traces of paper, ashes, rust and wax. The silhouettes of humans that she presents are calm and mysterious.
Benedicte Blanc-Fontenille is a graduate of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and studied at the Conservatoire d’art Dramatique, both located in Paris. She spends time at homes in France and South Florida. Her works are part of the corporate collections of Cartier, Compaq, Piaget, Sofitel and Alcoa International.
